DJ Saki
Greek born in Germany in 1980, Saki has loved music ever since he can remember. As an eight year old boy he got involved in the breakdancing scene and began mixing the tapes for his shows. Music has been a part of his life ever since.
When he hit 14 Saki was entered into a DJ scratch competition, giving him the push he needed to take his mixing further. His first experiences of vinyl mixing soon followed.
Saki’s musical style reflects his diverse upbringing. As an 18 year old boy in Karlsruhe, he became immersed in the techno-trance scene prevalent at the time. Since moving to London he’s adapted to a more progressive, funky sound, but keeping his edgy style, influenced by his early clubbing in Germany.
So far in Saki’s London DJing career he has played at some of the hottest nights on the scene, including Matinee London at Cable/Koko/Colloseum, Hard On, Juicy at Fire, Manimal, Barcode Soho, Barcode Vauxhall, Lovechild and Rupert Street Bar. He’s also guested at the huge University Challenge event at Manchester Pride, promoted by the Federation team, The Gallery at Ministry Of Sound and and and....
Saki also promotes his own night at trendy bar/club Barcode in Vauxhall.
Recently Saki has experimented in the world of music production.
This year he will be undertaking a music production course to enhance his skills.
His unique style, skill and musical aptitude make this one DJ you won’t want to miss.
